Laura Linney has been hailed as one of the most acclaimed actors. Her fame is as a strong actress but as at risk. Born to a famous playwright father, but was raised by a single mom who made a living in the field of nursing, she began to take an interest in theater while having summers spent with her father, eventually studying acting, first in Brown University and then at Juilliard School. Starting her acting career on the Broadway soon after graduation, she appeared in films within two years. She also appeared on TV within a year. Since then, she's appeared in numerous TV productions, films as well as stage productions. Her achievements have been numerous over the course of her career such as four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Despite her numerous nominations, she has a passion for the theatre, and has appeared on stage and screen.
