Allison Janney bio
Allison Brooks Janney (born April 14 on the 14th of April, 1970) is an American actor. Known for her performances across the stage and screen and stage, she has won numerous accolades including her own Academy Award a British Academy Film Award a Golden Globe Award and seven Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to being nominated for two Tony Awards. Allison Janney is a well-known actress who has spent nearly twenty years working in regional theater. She became famous for playing White House press secretary C.J. Gregg on the popular and acclaimed television drama The West Wing (NBC 1999-2006). Allison Janney is a natural late blossomer. Her driving permit was not given until 17, one year after the majority of her classmates came from Ohio. The first time she went out on a date was while she was at the university. Although she auditioned at age 23 Faris wasn't able to start starring onscreen until her 30s. Faris is very picky about the roles she takes on since leaving Mom in the year 2000. The exception to this is 2022's The Estate. Faris says to PEOPLE specifically that it was not a choice she made. Anna Faris had left CBS's popular sitcom Mom just prior to the finale of its eighth season. The time was when Faris said she was leaving for new opportunities however, she's now revealing details about the reasons she chose to take a break from acting which she says wasn't a deliberate decision in the moment. Janney had been sporting an unreal wig since she started the series. Fallon said to her "'Guys I've been wearing a wig ever since the beginning of season 1, but no one knew. Then all of the people on earth are informed.'" Janney wants to bring the wig back with her. As per reports the actress earned $125,000 or more each episode during the initial seasons. Faris and her fellow co-star Allison Janey, are estimated to have made $200,000 per episode in the third or fourth season.
