Her birth date was March 29 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michelle was her maiden name. Gerina Stevenson's parents include Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. She has Mexican roots, yet is American as a national. Since she was a child she's always had a strong determination to be involved in sports. Gerina started playing golf when she was just 15 years old. Gerina finished her high-school education at Goddard High School. In high school, she had won at the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. She was also an athlete in volleyball who played at the state level. She was enrolled at Texas's University of Texas, Texas, for the 2003 academic year. Her senior year was a success. she took home the top prize in every tournament she took part in. During her undergraduate career she was crowned Conference USA individual champion player of the year, and was named UTEP Female Athlete of the Year.
